Making a
Complaint

As attorneys, we decided that filing a civil action against The Menninger Clinic for the actions of its professionals, as well as its misrepresentations in marketing, was not the best approach for us. In turn, we made administrative complaints against the CPAS psychiatrist who failed to adequately treat our child as well as the Bridge’s medical doctor who concocted “medical instability” in order to dump our child to another facility.

If you feel that a particular medical professional at Menninger, or any medical facility, has mistreated you or your loved one, administrative complaints can be made against that professional through the Texas Medical Board. The link for the Secure Complaint Submission is here:

If you feel that a facility as a whole, such as The Menninger Clinic has mistreated you or a loved one, you can make an administrative complaint through Texas Unified Licensure Information Portal (TULIP) with the Texas Health and Human Services.

The link to make that administrative complaint is here:

We also recommend sending the complaint to this email address as well.

With The Menninger Clinic, like most inpatient treatment facilities that treat mental illness, it blurs the line between as to what kind of medical center it is depending on what its role was. Sometimes it operates as a hospital. Other times as a mental health center. Then sometimes, as a substance abuse facility. So, it’s best to make the administrative complaint through the portal as well as sending your complaint to the HHS complaint email address to ensure it gets to the appropriate reviewer.
